Jennifer Lopez for Gucci

Jennifer Lopez is set to star in new Gucci’s new campaign for its children’s fashion line alongside her two-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

Well here’s a yummy mummy if ever you saw one! J Lo and her twins are the faces of Gucci’s brand new kids collection which has a signature teddy bear motif.

The range will be offering sizes 0 to 2 years and 2 to 8 years, and will feature clothing, small leather goods, footwear, jewellery, sunglasses, scarves and blankets.

The campaign is shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and shows Lopez and mini Los playing/posing on the beach.

O.P.I celeb partnerships

The OPI Grand Slam Collection with Serena Williams colours will release in sets of two throughout the year, timed with her tennis tournaments. The first set will launch in January 2011 (Australian Open) with a shade called Simply Smashing, a bright green! The other three duos will come out in May 2011 (French Open), June 2011 (Wimbledon) and August 2011 (US Open) Katy Perry will also be partnering with the nail brand and her polish will be (not surprisngly) on the wilder side. Named Black Shatter, this polish is set to give a crackled effect on application.

Luella Style guide out today

Luella Bartley is making waves once again through fashion, except this time as an author. Her book ‘Luella’s Guide to English Style’ launches today. It is a leap on from her initial career in fashion journalism before launching her much loved label. What makes English girls the coolest in the world? What is the English style which girls around the world try to emulate? The book sets out to capture what it is that makes English girls just a little bit special. Luella Bartley was crowned Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2008 .

Maverick Fashion

A look into new designers today at London Fashion Week….

Showcasing at the Strand Palace Hotel,  they set to impress in their static exhbition and catwalk shows.

Opening the show schedule for Fashion Mavericks was Rinda Salmun who made her debut LFW show to a nearly full house. Her collection was titled Neurosis and addresses the unconscious human mind. It is a different dimension where reality and dreams collide. Suitable for evening and day wear the “science of the dream” theme featured digital artwork printed on to jersey, cotton, silk georgette and silk twill. These were then combined with synthetic leather, silk and nylon to create interesting shapes. Particular favourites were the head pieces, crystal details and jumpsuits.

Static exhibition highlight – Eyewear by Nicola Kate Williams.

A trained a jewellery designer , her passion covers the subject of adornment. Her work began to steer in the direction of eyewear and her experience in both modern and traditional techniques brings together a product that is edgy, wearable and a popular choice for men and women.

“Eyewear as an accessory inspires me, I am intrigued by its potential to adorn the eyes and transform the silhouette of the face.”

These pieces in particular stood out and with such a unique spin on her work, the world will be seeing a lot more of Williams.

Perfume to go

Before we even talk about the fragrance, I LOVE the packaging of this little perfume by French perfumier Olivia Giacobetti. Sometimes you see an idea and think, I wish I thought of that! And this is definitely one of them. Winner of Wallpaper design awards 2010 Love Coco fragrance, described by Honore des Pres as the ideal potion to get married in in Manhattan, is made from the pure extract of white coconut milk and coriander leaf. Its scent is totally French couture and its exterior was inspired by New York’s buzzy, coffee culture atmosphere.

It is a liberated fragrance which underlines vegetable sap, disturbing the the original basic form of the coco scent. Combining head notes of seeds and leaves of coriander and fresh milk coconut with heart notes of tonka bean and vanilla bourbon with base notes of white cedar and organic coconut essence. It uses all natural ingredients just like its sibling fragrances with heart notes of Tonka Bean and Vanilla Bourbon. Base Notes: white cedar and organic coconut essence. Love, love, love it!

Martin Margiela announces eyewear for SS11

Maison Martin Margiela is a top fashion house which recycles vintage pieces into high fashion items at an all-white laboratory-style design studio in Paris. It is partnering with Cutler and Gross to launch a collaborative eyewear collection for SS11. From playfully ill-fitting lenses to wrap-around glamour, the two top design houses have joined forces to bring originality to the competitive sunglasses market. The first collection is made up of two lines: Anatomic, an enlarged rounded frame, and Wrong Size (pictured), with lenses seemingly ill-fitting the frame. These will be available to buy from both Margiela and Cutler & Gross in 2 months time.

The “Line 8″ eyewear collection will be available from November on in all Maison Martin Margiela’s stores and selected Cutler and Gross retailers.
